<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for rolling a metallic tube capable of restraining a deflection of the metallic tube after rolling using a mandrel mill and capable of drastically curtailing the number of mandrel bars to be owned. SOLUTION: In order to realize a wall thickness target value of the tube stock determined based on the outside diameter of a mandrel bar 4, the number of rotation and the distance between rolls of the rolling rolls 20, 20 are set up while the number of rotation of the finish rolls 30, 30 is determined based on the wall thickness target value of the tube stock or the wall thickness record value of the tube stock 1b after rolling with the mandrel mill 2.</p> |
