PURPOSE: An optical fiber clamping apparatus of an optical fiber grafter is provided, which supports the outside of an optical fiber strongly without damage when clamping a bundle of optical fibers. CONSTITUTION: The clamping apparatus(20) comprises an installation board(21) installed on a frame(1a) of an optical fiber grafter, the first supporting plate(23) fixed by being placed on an upper surface of the installation board, a holding plate(24) installed by being placed to be able to slide on the upper surface of the supporting plate, the second supporting plate(25) fixed on an upper surface of the holding plate, and a driving tool(27) moving the holding plate right and left. An installation board(21) where the first supporting plate is installed is formed in the installation board, and a number of penetration holes(23a) are formed on the supporting plate. A penetration hole(24a) is formed on the holding plate in an arrangement corresponding to the supporting plate. And a penetration hole(25a) corresponding to the first supporting plate and the holding plate is formed on the second supporting plate, and a fixed interval(L) is formed by an interval maintain projection(26) of the holding plate. The second plate is fixed to the installation board so that it dose not moved together with the holding plate when the holding plate is moved by the driving tool.
