METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR STERILIZING POWDER OR GRANULE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both a method for sterilizing powder or granule, capable of uniformly and surely sterilizing powder or granule to the inside and an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: Powder or granule in thickness to transmit an electron ray is transported to a recovery apparatus 22 by a transportation apparatus 23 and the powder or granule during transportation is irradiated with an electron ray by an electron ray irradiation equipment 24. Consequently the powder and granule is uniformly and surely sterilized to the inside, not vibrated and is not lost by scattering. This thickness of the powder and granule during the transportation is <=5 mm and the energy of the electron ray is <=10 MeV so that the electron ray irradiation equipment is miniaturized and its cost can be kept down.
