PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulverizer for trees and the like capable of changing a set feed speed of a feed mechanism to a plurality of stages by a simple operation. SOLUTION: In the pulverizer for trees and the like equipped with a chipper knife mechanism 2 for pulverizing materials W such as pruned branch leaf, wood, thinnings and the like and a feed mechanism 103, detent mechanisms 110, 110a, and 110b for setting a feed speed of the feed mechanism 103 are provided; the detent mechanisms 110, 110a and 110b are so constituted as to be able to change the set feed speed to a plurality of stages. The detent mechanism 110 is equipped with a detent shaft 111 having a detent position hole for a plurality of set feed speeds. A marking 140 for a set speed is provided to the detent shaft 111, and a counter mark 141 is provided to a bracket 113 for fitting the detent shaft 111.
