PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-sensitive recording material in which a so-called recycled paper which is mainly composed of a used paper pulp is used as a substrate and with high color development density, less skin fog and excellent storing properties of image parts. SOLUTION: In the heat-sensitive recording material provided with a heat- sensitive color developing layer containing an electron-donating colorless dye and an electron-accepting compound on the substrate, the heat-sensitive recording material is characterized by incorporating N-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-p-toluene sulfoneamide in the electron-accepting compound and mainly incorporating the used paper pulp in the substrate.
