PURPOSE: A gas leakage warning/blocking apparatus is provided to accurately and easily determine the failure of a blocking part constructed to open and close a gas valve installed out of doors by automatically checking the blocking part. CONSTITUTION: The gas leakage warning/blocking apparatus comprises a manipulation part(1) for manipulating the opening/closing of a gas valve; a control part(2) for outputting a control signal for the opening/closing of the gas valve by driving a blocking part(4) according to a control order output from the manipulation part and determining the condition of the blocking part(4) by using various input signals; and a driving part(3) for driving the blocking part and outputting a desired voltage to a driving condition detecting part(5). The blocking part consists of a motor(41), an opening switch(SW11), and a closing switch(SW12).
