PURPOSE: Provided are heat exchanger having coat which consists of the composition excellent in hydrophilicity, durability and deodorization, and a method for forming coat of the heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION: The heat exchanger for duct system consists of surface coated with a coating film for imparting hydrophilicity, durability and deodorizability. The coating film consists of a composition comprising a reactive compound containing glycol component and a compound selected from acrylate and a complex salt thereof dissolved in water. The method comprises the steps of (i) preparing liquid of composition for forming coat comprising a reactive compound containing glycol component, and a compound selected from acrylate and a complex salt thereof dissolved in water, and other additives; (ii) applying the liquid onto surface of the exchanger; and (iii) drying the liquid.
