PURPOSE: Provided is a cathode material for AB5 based Ni/MH secondary battery having high capability and high capacity. CONSTITUTION: The cathode material for AB5 based Ni/MH secondary battery having high capability and high capacity is produced by adding Cu, Cr, and Si alone or a mixture thereof to Mm, Ni, Co, Mn, and Al to form an alloy represented by formula Mm((Ni3.75Mn0.36Al0.27)x(Co0.6-yMy)z). The composition of Ni, Mn and Al is optimized and changed in a group, and composition between CO and Cu, Cr and Sr is changed reciprocally. |
