PURPOSE: A method for oxidizing an alkane of C2-C4 for preparing an alkene and a carboxylic acid is provided, wherein the method can be used in the integrated method such as the preparation of vinyl acetate or ethyl acetate. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of contacting an alkane, a molecular oxygen-containing gas and the corresponding alkene and optionally water in the oxidation zone in the at least one catalyst having an activity oxidizing an alkane into the corresponding alkene and carboxylic acid, to prepare a product stream containing an alkene, a carboxylic acid and water; and controlling the concentration of an alkene and optionally water in the oxidation zone and controlling at least one among the pressure, the temperature and the retention time in the oxidation zone, to control the molar ration of an alkene and a carboxylic acid produced in the oxidation zone. |
