SEALING STRUCTURE OF SCROLL COMPRESSOR

PURPOSE: A sealing structure of scroll compressor is provided to reduce time needed to process a groove of a scroll and manufacturing cost by minimize lengths of a seal groove and a sealer. CONSTITUTION: An involute seal groove(63) is formed on a wrap(61) of a rotary scroll(60). A tip seal(65) is inserted into the seal groove to prevent leakage of gas during compression. An involute shape of the seal groove starts from a point separated from a starting point of the scroll by a certain angle(alpha). An angle of an end(phi e') of at least one of seal grooves of a fixed scroll and the rotary scroll is setup to be equal to or larger than phi e - 180 deg. and equal to or smaller than phi e - 30 deg. where phi e is an angle of an end of the wrap of the scroll.
