<p>The present invention relates to a novel method for inactivating genes in model organisms in a temporally specific manner. In particular, the invention relates to the delay of antisensemediated inhibition of gene expression by temporarily blocking the transcript-binding activity of antisense oligomers, which facilitates the stage-specific inactivation of individual genes and enables the functional analysis of genes with multiple functional roles in vertebrate development.</p> |
