[Class 52 (ii)] A seat frame c adapted to carry the seat proper and the back rest, is adjusted by supporting one end on a link f and the other on a bar 2 engaging a slot h, the seat being adjusted to and held in any desired position by a hand-actuated screw z. Holes 8 serve for adjusting the length of the link. The screw may be omitted and bar 2 may have a tooth engaging one of a number of notches in a fixed plate, bar 2 being in some cases rotatable by means of a handle, and in other cases removable to permit adjustment.
