PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bar code printing system in which not only the print processing is simply separated from decoding of bar code but also a large amount of bar codes can be printed at high speed and decoded accurately by simplifying the processing on the print processing side. SOLUTION: Upon receiving print information containing bar codes, a record control circuit section 501 delivers information related to decoding of the bar code to a bar code checker 601 prior to printing. Based on the information thus delivered, the bar code checker 601 turns a reading section 603 and sets the reading section 603 such that scanning is carried out with a laser light at a corresponding angle. When the normal reading rate is low, the bar code checker 601 delivers an error signal to the record control circuit section 501. |
