The interconnector can comprise means of accommodating catalytic material for catalysing chemical reactions. Spatially directed chemical reactions, for example, the methane/steam reformation reaction may be catalysed in the interconnector, by means of a directed spatial treatment. Peak temperatures can be reduced, and life expectancy and the efficiency of the fuel cell increased. |
