摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical compensation sheet, capable of simply improving viewing angle characteristics of an LCD(liquid crystal display), further to provide an LCD device having a simple construction using the same, furthermore, to provide the optical compensation sheet with excellent handling and to provide a method for stably and continuously manufacturing the optical compensation sheet. SOLUTION: The optical compensation sheet is provided with a layer, in which a liquid crystalline compound is aligned, in such a way that an angle between an optical axis of the liquid crystalline compound and the surface of the optical compensation sheet continuously or stepwise increases with respect to the thickness direction of the optical compensation sheet and a layer in which the liquid crystalline compound is aligned, in such a way that the angle continuously or stepwise decreases on a support body. Furthermore, the optical compensation sheet comprises the two layers arranged, in such a way that the alignment directions of the liquid crystalline compound inside the respective surfaces mutually intersect with 80-100 deg. angle and is characterized by containing particulates on a surface layer of at least one surface.
