PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To update entry registered in a table without halting coincidence retrieval operation. SOLUTION: Plural entries are registered in a memory array. A shift sequence circuit controls a series of procedure updating entry registered in a table. That is, first, the circuit generates a memory address of a memory array by controlling an address generating circuit, and sets a valid flag of the entry of an address of movement destination to invalid. Next, entry of an address of movement origin of the memory array is read out, held in a read-out data holding circuit, and the held entry of an address of the movement address is written in the address of movement destination of the memory array. After that, a valid flag of the entry of the address of movement destination is set to valid, and a valid flag of the entry of the address of movement origin is set to in valid.
