PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small array antenna having a simple construction which enables to obtain high gain and also provide a communication system using the array antenna. SOLUTION: Antenna elements 1, 2, 3, 4 having antenna bodies 11, 21, 31, 41, whose whole shape is extended in one direction, are arranged with the same space between on a circle in line with the direction vertical to the plane including the circle. Antenna elements 1, 2, 3, 4 are connected in parallel electrically so that the current distribution on each antenna body 11, 21, 31, 41 is vibrated in antiphase each other among antenna elements 1, 2, 3, 4, each of which is adjacent to the other in the circle direction, for feeding from a feeding opening 53 to antenna elements 1, 2, 3, 4.
