PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform speedy squelch processing by the squelch method of a BLSR ring transmission system. SOLUTION: Each of nodes (A)-(F) of a BLSR ring transmission system where the nodes (A)-(F) are connected by a ring transmission line RL includes modified squelch table [A]-[F] and a squelch judgment section, a ring topology is constructed by transmitting a ring topology frame and inserting the ID of each node, each node sets an own node to the top and sets the own node to a reference value such as zero and gives the modified node ID of a connection order in an ascending order, a modified squelch table is formed of the modified node ID, and the modified node ID of the node where signal when failure occurs does not reach and that of the modified squelch table are compared to judge a squelch.
