PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder head for an engine, capable of not only fuely securing cooling performance of recirculation gas but also is improved so that its rigidity is not deteriorated due to provision of an EGR passage. SOLUTION: This cylinder head 1 for the engine provided with a water jacket 10 and the EGR passage 12 with one end opened in an exhaust passage 7 and an other end opened in a side face of an intake side has the EGR passage provided in an outer side in a cylinder row direction of head bolt insertion holes 9 in one end in the cylinder row direction. As a resuet of this, since the EGR passage can be formed longer, cooling performance of the recirculation gas can be enhanced. Since the EGR passage can be provided, without having to separate the head bolts from combustion chambers, deterioration of bearing pressure of the cylinder head to a cylinder block around the combustion chambers can be prevented. |
