PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin film formable by a wet method such as coating, having a refractive index higher than that of a conventional resin-base thin film and also having good water repellency. SOLUTION: The high refractive index thin film comprises a polysilane of formula (1) [where R is H, hydroxyl, alkyl, alkenyl, arylalkyl, aryl, alkoxyl or silyl, all of plural symbols R are the same, or two or more of these are different from each other, (x), (y) and (z) are each a number >=0 and x+y+z=5 to 400]. |
