PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for winding a wire of a multi-layer coil by which a wire can be wound in three or more rows in the lateral direction of windings and in a multi-layer in the vertical direction of the windings in a single winding step without dividing the winding process into a first and second steps and stress is not produced by friction caused by winding the wire and layer shorts can be reduced, and a device therefore. SOLUTION: This method includes the steps of: cutting and clamping a wire received by the first winding jig 15 from a wire supply section; storing a required amount of wire around a wire storing wheel 18; introducing the wire into the first winding jig 15 and the second winding jig 17 by a flier 16 vertically mounted on a wire supply wheel; making the gap between the faces of the first winding 15 and the second winding jig 17 slightly larger than the width of two layers of the wire and rotating the wire supply wheel and the wire storing wheel 18 in the same direction at a rotational speed larger than the rotational speeds of the first winding jig 15 and the second winding jig 17 to wind the wire in multi-layers; heating windings during winding to weld the fusion layers and pressing the welded layers to integrate the windings into one piece; and discharging the windings integrated by welding and pressing from the winding device. |
