PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single sensor chip capable of judging the movement information on a finger with time without increasing the cost and complexity of a system. SOLUTION: An object is photographed by this method and this system. The movement information of the object is determined and selectively asserted by using a navigation sensor array 410 to control an image pickup sensor array. The image pickup sensor array 204 captures the sub-images of the object in response to an image pickup sensor strobe signal. The image pickup sensor array has a plurality of pixels for imaging a portion of the object at one time. The plurality of sub-images are captured successively by the image pickup sensor array as the object is moved with respect to the image pickup sensor array. Then, a composite image of the object is generated based on the composite image of the sub-images.
