PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method and an inspection reagent for diagnosing infection to helicobactor pyroly inexpensively without causing any pain to a subject and without requiring any special apparatus in which cross reaction does not take place and excellent specificity is attained using a single antibody, variation from lot to lot is eliminated and quality control is facilitated, and an excellent sensitivity is exhibited even when a single monoclonal antibody is employed. SOLUTION: Infection to helicobactor pyroly is determined by detecting the negative catalase of helicobactor pyroly existing in the excretion of alimentary canal.
