PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a baseboard which causes no dangerous situation during the installation of a bottom baseboard, causes no deviation in the position of the bottom baseboard, permits easy execution of the work, reuse, and the use over a prolonged period. SOLUTION: At a right angle portion formed by a wall member 4 and a floor member 5 of the building, an upper baseboard 1 and a lower baseboard 2 are attached together and installed to the wall by overlapping together in this attitude with an inner side projection 1a formed at a bottom end portion of the upper baseboard 1 and an outside projection 2a formed at the upper portion of the lower portion baseboard 2 as a separation type baseboard. A bottom end surface of the inner side projection 1a of the upper portion baseboard 1 is sloped, a recessed portion for linking 1b is formed between the bottom end surface and the wall member 4, a triangular linking projection 2b is formed at a portion facing the bottom end surface of the inner side projection 1a of the lower portion baseboard 2, the upper baseboard 1 is installed to the wall member 4, and the bottom baseboard 2 is attached by linking its linking projection 2b to the recessed portion 1b for linking.
