PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove such a failure that the rising time of a fixing device becomes longer due to the effect that the heat is taken from a fixing belt by a tension roller and a cleaning roller which come into contact with the fixing belt, as for a fixing device provided with the fixing belt which is stretched to be laid between a heat roller and a fixing roller and driven so as to fun, and for making a recording material pass through a nip between the fixing roller and the pressure roller with the fixing belt, and then, fixing a toner image on the recording material by the actions of heat and pressure. SOLUTION: The surfaces of the tension roller 20 and the cleaning roller 21 coming into contact with the fixing belt 14 are formed of heat resistant felt so as to reduce the quantity of the heat shifting from the fixing belt 14 to the tension roller 20 and the cleaning roller 21.
