The use of aivlosin, as much or as a pharmacologically acceptable (non-toxic ) derivative such as an acid addition salt, for the preparation of a veterinar y medicament for the treatment or prophylaxis of diseases and infections of pi gs and poultry. In particular the diseases and infections treatable are necroti c enteritis in poultry and Lawsonia infections, Mycoplasma diseases and swine dysentery in pigs.
