PURPOSE: A payment system using an iris recognition is provided to prevent card missing and improve user convenience to take out the card for every payment without carrying a card. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a member information database(12) storing the personal information and iris data of registered member, an iris recognition device(2) to transmit the digital signal converting the iris data of user and a payment system(10) matching the digital signal transmitted from the iris recognition device with the user iris data stored in the member information database. The payment method comprises steps of recognizing the iris of user by the iris recognition device, transmitting the recognized iris data after converting into the digital signal, matching the iris data stored in the database of card company with the transmitted iris data of user, and making a payment in case of matching both iris data.
