The present invention reveals a method of recording a computer-generated hologram (CGH) of a three-dimensional (3-D) scene/object under conditions of incoherent white illumination. After a process of recording several digital pictures of a scene, under an incoherent illumination, from different points of view; recording the pictures into a memory; and using digital computing, a two-dimensional (2-D) complex function is obtained from the input data. This function is equal to the complex amplitude of a coherent light diffracted from the same object and propagating through a particular optical system. |
