摘要 PURPOSE: A method for evaluating and designing an OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) system with frequency offset is provided to evaluate correctly a relationship between the frequency offset and the OFDM system by producing capacity degradation of the OFDM system. CONSTITUTION: An OFDM system is formed with a transmitting part, a receiving part, and a channel part. The transmitting part is formed with a serial/parallel converter(100), an OFDM modulator(120), a parallel/serial converter(140), and a digital/analog converter(160), and an RF(Radio Frequency) transmitter(180). The receiving part is formed with an RF receiver(200), an analog/digital converter(220), a serial/parallel converter(240), an OFDM demodulator(260), a detector(280), and a parallel/serial converter(300). Sub-carriers are modulated by converting serial data symbols inputted into the serial/parallel converter(100) to parallel data symbols. The modulated sub-carriers are transmitted to a channel by carriers. The degradation of an SNR(Signal to Noise Ratio) due to a frequency offset is produced by using an approximation method.
