PURPOSE: A traffic monitoring apparatus of communication network using an Ethernet is provided to increase the convenience of a user and save the installing cost of a system by monitoring traffic situation of a network in real time without a MAC(Media Access Control) controller and a hub and being converted into a digital watch in case that the traffic of the network does not exist. CONSTITUTION: A traffic collecting and processing unit(200) collects a traffic state of a network without a MAC controller. A transmission unit(500) transmits the traffic situation collected from the traffic collecting and processing unit(200). A display unit(100) outputs the transmitted traffic situation. The traffic collecting and processing unit(200) does not use the MAC controller and a hub.
