PURPOSE: A bi-potential mask type cathode ray tube is provided to enhance productivity by stably supplying differential potential to a fluorescent screen and a shadow mask, respectively, with a simplified structure. CONSTITUTION: A bi-potential mask type cathode ray tube comprises a vacuum bulb(12) including a face panel(2), a funnel(4) and a neck(6), a fluorescent screen(14), deflection yokes(16), an electron gun(18), a shadow mask(20), and a screen voltage supplying unit(28). The shadow mask(20) includes many beam passage apertures(20a) and is insulated from the fluorescent screen(14). The screen voltage supply unit(28) is fixed into a frit(10) for connecting an external voltage source(30) to the fluorescent screen(14). The screen voltage supply unit(28) includes a conductive element(32) fixed to the fluorescent screen(14) and a screen voltage source(30) for electrically connecting them, and an insulating element(34) wrapped around the conductive element(32) for insulating the conductive element(32).
