The slot can be divided up or shaped to leave an islet and channel (5) stands open to the core exterior and ramps up in the extrusion direction and is here joined to the endface recess (4). The heat-insulating components formed by the core are intersected by cavities and their parting webs give a plan view in which the cavities are relatively offset in the direction of component thickness.
