POLYMERIZATION OF ALFA-OLEFIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stably producing a polymer or copolymer that is obtained by using a metallocene catalyst without adverse effect on the merits that the resultant polymer includes reduced amounts of low-crystalline and low molecular weight components causing unpleasant odor and stickiness. SOLUTION: Whenα-olefin monomers are polymerized in a liquidα-olefin by using a metallocene catalyst, at least a part of the liquidα-olefin is characteristically fed together with the catalyst to a nozzle for feeding the catalyst into a polymerization tank so that the linear velocity inside the nozzle may exceed 0.1 m/s.
