PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the folding accuracy of a metal plate by improving the sliding rotatability of projecting curved surfaces of bar-like lower dies, and to reduce the wear by heightening the physical strength so as to be used as a die for a long time. SOLUTION: In this metal plate folding device, the projecting curved surfaces 5a and 5b of the two bar-like lower dies 2a and 2b having semi-circular section are mounted on two recessed curved surfaces 7a and 7b provided on a surface of a supporting body 4 in a slidably rotatable manner, one end of a spring 3, etc., is fitted to each of the two bar-like lower dies, and the other end of the spring, etc., is fitted to the supporting body. Each of the two bar-like lower dies is not slidably rotated by the pushing force of an upper die smaller than the suppressive force such as elasticity of a rotation suppressive member such as the spring, etc., while the two bar-like lower dies are slidably rotated in a V-shape by the pushing force of the upper die larger than the suppressive force such as elasticity of the rotation suppressive member such as the spring, etc. In addition, a high hardness alloy layer covered by the discharge surface treatment or silicon carbide plating treatment is formed on the projecting curved surfaces of the bar-like lower dies and the recessed curved surfaces of the supporting body, an oil groove is formed in two recessed curved surfaces provided on the surface of the supporting body, and lubricant is poured therein.
