PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a box for control device of rolling stock excellent in the strength and rigidity and having a high shape accuracy at a low cost with a high producing efficiency, capable of avoiding a thermal deformation and denaturation of the material generated in association with welding. SOLUTION: The box 100 for the control device of rolling stock is composed of a ceiling plate 1, bottom plate 2, a left 3 and a right side plate 4, and partitining plates 5, 6 and 7 which are coupled fast together by a fastening means 20, whereby thermal deformation and denaturation of the material generated when fastened members are joined together by welding are avoided, and the box can be manufactured with a high producing efficiency while it is given an excellent strength and rigidity and a high shape accuracy. Because different sorts of metal materials may be combined, the box light and excellent in the durability can be manufactured at a low cost while appropriate materials are adopted in accordance with the different strength and material characteristics required of various parts of the box 100.
