PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording device capable of dramatically improving the cut length of a recording material or the stopping accuracy of a substance to be moved. SOLUTION: In an image recording device for taking out and cutting a roll- like recording material by a predetermined length for feeding the same and recording an image, a driving signal to a conveyance driving means 121 is blocked forcibly based on a counting up signal by a taking out amount counting means 125 or a terminal end detecting means 124 for the roll-like recording material. Moreover, in an image recording device for taking out and cutting a roll-like recording material by a predetermined length for placing the same on the circumferential surface of a drum and recording an image, the rotation amount of the drum is counted so that a driving signal to the drum driving means is blocked forcibly based on a counting up signal. Furthermore, in an image recording device for placing a recording material around the circumferential surface of a drum, moving a recording head in the substantially drum shaft direction and recording an image, drive to a recording head driving means is blocked forcibly based on a head reference position detecting signal.
