PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a winding method and a winding device of magnetic tapes capable of maintaining stable winding tension by controlling a winding rotating speed without using a winding diameter detecting sensor. SOLUTION: When arithmetically operating a rotating speed of a winding motor 9 required for winding the magnetic tapes 10A and 10B by preset winding tension, a winding diameter of the magnetic tapes 10A and 10B required for the operation is calculated by an internal operation of a controller 16 instead of using a detecting means such as a conventional sensor to perform stable winding control for restraining a variation of tension by electric noise.
