PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt conveyor capable of obtaining sufficient levitation force by preventing the formation of a bending inclination in a belt. SOLUTION: This air levitation type belt conveyor has a trough, the belt 52 for moving in the lengthwise direction by being levitated on the trough and support roller trains 2 and 3 arranged so as to support the belt from below on the outside of the trough. The respective support roller trains 2 and 3 are arranged in a plurality at an interval in the lengthwise direction of the belt 52. The respective support roller trains 2 and 3 have plural rollers 4 arranged in the width direction of the belt 52. The mutual adjacent support roller trains 2 and 3 are arranged so that positions of clearance G between the mutual rollers 4 do not coincide with each other when viewed in the lengthwise direction of the belt 52.
