PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the capacity of treating compressed articles. SOLUTION: A supply open/closed cover 19 takes an open position R and a close position for a supply port part 16 as well as a thrust position for entry into a supply chamber 17. A compression plate 23 is reciprocated between a stand-by position P and a forcible-feed position in the supply chamber 17. An extra chamber 34 is provided between the supply open/closed cover 19 at the thrust position and the compression plate 23 at the stand-by position P. Movable supporting rails 27 at both sides of the compression plate 23 are supported by a fixed guide rail and hydraulic cylinders 30 are each stored in the movable supporting rails 27. A charging member 35 provided near a storage port part 7 takes an interference position U for the compression plate 23 and a push-in position for pushing to the storage chamber 12 by the compressed articles forcibly fed by the compression plate 23. A discharge open/close driving mechanism for a discharge open/closed cover, provided with a hydraulic cylinder and a lever, has a pressure part for supporting the lever to prevent the turning of the lever in the process of turning the discharge open/closed cover from the close position to the open position.
