SOLUTION: The solid-liquid separation apparatus 1 is constituted so as to concentrate foreign matter from a liquid in which ionized substances are dissolved to separate the same and equipped with an electric field applying means 3 for applying an electric field to the liquid to sediment the foreign matter. The underwater decomposition type organic waste treatment system 11 is constituted so as to utilize microorganisms in water of a reaction tank to decompose organic waste. The solid-liquid separation apparatus 1 is used in the underwater decomposition type organic waste treatment system.
