PURPOSE: An electrical connector is provided to contain displacement of a contact part within a given range with high precision, for an electrical connector of a small size and compression type. CONSTITUTION: A housing(2) is provided with a slot(14) for housing an arm contact(3). The arm contact in turn has a lead part(21) protruding from one end of the housing, press-fitting parts(23,24) against the housing, bent parts(25,27) for allowing displacement within the slot and a contact part(29) coming out of the slot and protruding from the other end of the housing. A limiting part(15) is provided in the housing. The limiting part is for limiting displacement of the contact part in the expanding direction within the slot, when the contact part is pressure contacted against a conductive face of a circuit board. |
