PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk drive with which a user can fully enjoy such a profit that a readout or a writing speed is accelerated, when the revolution of a disk-like medium represented by a magnetic disk is speeded up. SOLUTION: A spindle 19 and a pivot 34 are disposed at the center in the direction of the width W of a base 12 or eccentrically from the center to the rotating direction of a magnetic disk 22.
