PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible optical fiber cable capable of suppressing the increase of the transmission loss of coated optical fibers and capable of preventing the abnormal arrangement and movement of internal linear materials. SOLUTION: Since the periphery of a tension member 2 in the optical fiber cable has been coated with a tension member coating 20 comprising a resin having elasticity and a high coefficient of friction, linear materials 4, 5, 6 are liable to bite into the tension member coating 20. Even when the optical fiber cable is bent by bundling and loosening, dislocation between the tension member 2 and the linear materials 4, 5, 6 is hardly caused, the movement of the linear materials such as coated optical fibers 4 and metallic lines 5 and the kinking and twisting of the coated optical fibers 4 are prevented and the increase of the transmission loss of the coated optical fibers 4 is prevented. When the tension member coating 20 comprises a spongy material, dislocation between the tension member 2 and the linear materials 4, 5, 6 is suppressed.
