PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inspecting powder storing body capable of automating the monitoring work through the automated detection of defectives by the use of a machine, and of preventing the defectives from being mixed into products by further enhancing the accuracy of a criterion for elimination of defectives. SOLUTION: In the method for inspecting powder storing body 10, a bag 13 is constructed of two of front and back light transmissible sheets 11 and 12 and a specific amount of powdery material 14 is sealed in the bag 13 during the process of forming the bag 13; with the powdery material 14 stored, the storing body has a sealed part 15 on its peripheral edge. Light is applied to the storing body 10 from its back and an image of at least the sealed part 15 of the powder storing body 10 is picked up with a camera 18 positioned on the front surface of the body 10; the image picked up is processed to compute the area of the powdery material 14 present on the sealed part 15 so as to determine whether or not the body 10 is defective. |
