PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device using a reflection type display panel on which a compact and stable illumination function is mounted. SOLUTION: By providing an optical hole part 32 capable of transmitting light to the bonding surface 19 of a sub prism 16 with a main body prism 18 by using the prism 16 and a means for condensing the light on the hole part 32 or a means for making the light from a light source nearly parallel beams by installing a half mirror on the bonding surface 19, a reflection type display module capable of efficiently obtaining stable illumination quality free from the occurrence of useless light and constituted as comparatively compact constitution is obtained.
