INPUT HARMONIC CURRENT REDUCTION CIRCUIT FOR DIODE RECTIFICATION CIRCUIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce higher harmonics in the input current of a diode rectification circuit through a small-sized and inexpensive constitution. SOLUTION: Reactors L1 to L3 and a semiconductor switch circuit 3 with switches Q1 to Q6 in bridge connection are added to the diode rectification circuit 2 that consists of a plurality of diodes D1 to D6 and converts alternating currents into direct currents. Thus, the electrical capacitance of the semiconductor switch circuit 3 can be reduced to a fraction of the output of the equipment, and higher harmonics in the input current of the rectification circuit can be reduced through the small-sized and inexpensive constitution.
