PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a field plate which can supply fuel gas and oxygen gas uniformly, while removing reaction generating water positively and preventing a large pressure loss of the supply gas and a breakage of a field plate by flow path resistance. SOLUTION: The gas flow path is formed in a space of an approximately square shape enclosed by a side-wall 11 of a field plate 1. A gas supply opening 12 is made in one side of the diagonal of the square concerned, and a gas exhaust opening 13 is made in the other side (this diagonal line is hereafter called as an axis of line symmetry). The gas supply opening 12 and the gas exhaust opening 13 are formed in a coaxial to the axis of line symmetry. Two or more protrusions 14, which divide the gas flow in order, are arranged by line symmetry to the axis of line symmetry, and the gas flow path is specified, in the space enclosed by the side-wall 11. The gas flow path domain which forms line symmetry shape to the axis of the line symmetry corresponding to the electrochemical activity domain of the electrode, is formed, by the gas flow path, the gas supply opening 12, and the gas exhaust opening 13. |
