摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously inhibit various problems such as racing of an engine, drawing-in of a torque and a generation of a tightening shock in a gear shift following a connecting change of a friction element. SOLUTION: A controller 300 controls a 3-4 clutch pressure through a servo- apply pressure against a 2-4 brake at the time of a 2-3 gear shift for releasing the 2-4 brake and tightening the 3-4 clutch. A lower limit oil pressure of the servo-apply pressure is set corresponding to an input torque. When racing of the engine is generated at the time of 2-3 gear shift, the lower limit oil pressure is increased corresponding to an amount of racing. Whereas, when the racing is not generated, the lower limit oil pressure is reduced by a predetermined amount. The racing at the time of subsequent 2-3 gear shift can be avoided without thoughtlessly increasing the lower limit oil pressure and a drawing-in of a torque and a tightening shock at the time of the subsequent 2-3 gear shift can be further inhibited. A stability, of an automatic transmission as a commodity can be improved in no relation to an individual difference of the 2-4 brake and a secular change.
