PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key switch device having good key operability by preventing unnecessary horizontal movement of a link member by restricting the lift position of a key top when the key top is not depressed, and capable of surely carrying out switching operation and of keeping large key stroke without hindering the lowering operation of the key top while coping with the thinning of the key switch device. SOLUTION: In the non-depressed state of the key top 102, second lock pins 114A and 114B of a second link 105 abut on the front end part 300 of a locking slot to restrict the lift position of the key top 102, the upper and lower base end parts 119 and 120 of a first link 104 are formed thinner than the base part 118 thereof in the profile thereof, and the upper and lower base end parts 123 and 124 of the second link 105 are formed thinner than the base part 122 thereof.
