PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical recording medium which is formed with recording marks in more multiple stages. SOLUTION: Virtual recording cells of an arbitrary unit length and the unit width orthogonal therewith in the relative moving direction with a laser beam are continuously regulated in this relative moving direction in the recording layer of the optical recording medium recorded with information by being formed with the recording marks by irradiation with the laser beam. The irradiation time of >=5 stages which are successively longer from the first stage to the final stage is set in the virtual recording cells. The irradiation time is so set that the average value of the irradiation power in the specific irradiation time among plural stages of the irradiation time is larger than the average value of the irradiation power in the other irradiation time longer than the same. The recording marks varying in light reflectivity by >=5 stages are thus formed by irradiating the virtual recording cells with the laser beam. |
